To the parents / guardians of 2012-2013 7thgraders,
I’d like to extend a welcome to you and your child on behalf of Green Middle School’s staff. This past May your child took a tour of Green Middle School and had an opportunity to meet many of our outstanding staff members, and learn of exciting things to look forward to following summer vacation. Green Middle School is a great place for children to continue developing during their adolescent years. Our staff works extremely hard and takes great pride working with each of our students to provide the best possible educational experience. Please note that there will be a parent orientation for all incoming seventh graders on August 15th from 6:00-7:00 P.M. in the Green Middle School gymnasium. In addition to the student orientation this past May, seventh grade students will have an extended homeroom to get acclimated to GMS, receive their schedule, meet their teachers, and learn how to utilize a master lock on the first day of school. Our webpage at http://www.greenlocalschools.org/ is currently under construction and will be updated regularly. In the future please look for more information about GMS including supply lists, athletics, fine arts and more. We look forward to meeting all of you in the near future. · Homeroom postings for the 2012-2013 school year will be posted on the doors of Green Middle School by August 17th due to scheduling, enrollments, and the need to evaluate assessment data, etc…Because of confidentiality we are unable to place this information on our website.
*** Please note that we will have an additional orientation for 7th graders on the first day of school.
*** Supply lists are posted on the website. Your child’s team may add to this list as necessary following the beginning of school. On a final note, our dress code policy is similar to GIS and matches directly with GHS for consistency and overall development. Keep in mind the following when purchasing clothes for this school year: “pants / jeans with holes, rips, frays, snags, etc… are not permitted here at school.” For the entire dress code please visit our website.
